In 1993 Douglas Dewar rejuvenated a long-forgotten interest in color pencil art. The artwork involves a distinctive self-taught style of extremely fine detailed, vignetted portraits.

Douglas specializes in drawing pets, other animals and the people who care for them.

Douglas Dewar is a native of Bedford, England. Before coming to the United States in 1989, he lived in Bermuda for 17 years.
